    Lancaster, OH.

I was scheduled to pick up the load at 1600 and it was supposed to be pre-loaded.
When I got there at 1330 and the guard checked on the load, he asked if I could drop the trailer and pick it up on Monday.
Today is Friday and I am delivering it Monday, so I said... um, not really.
They had an mt there, but only one and it had been rejected due to an odor.
After a few minutes they called the guard shack back and said they could live load me right away.

Because of the rejected trailer they had rescheduled the load to pick up Monday.
Swift never informed me of that.

It's going to Lakeville, MN, so around 800 miles, but does not deliver until 1300 on Monday.
That's a good beginning for next week, but a not so good finish for this week.

Council Bluffs, IA at the TA.

I delivered a Costco load this afternoon near here, with a returns load going back to Owatonna.
That was the plan until I got there, and then it changed.
All of a sudden I am told by the Costco people that I would be taking a pallet load to Omaha before I could get the return load to Owatonna.
    Well, that makes my day.
I called my DM and she told me that yes, there were 2 loads lined up for me and the first was the pallet load.
She was surprised as well, and could find no reference to the load except that it was just there.

I was never informed of this by Swift. No pplan, they just stuck it on me.
And I bet it was that weasel of a planner in Owatonna that did it.

Weasel, because he could have called me and asked me to help out. But he (or whomever) took the cowards way out.

Is it any wonder I hate the Owatonna Costco?

Well, I'm headed right back to that Costco in La Vista, NE tomorrow. We'll see what happens this time.

But then I am stacked on a couple loads. The first is from Crete, NE to Joliet, IL, the second is out of the Costco in Morris, IL to Combined Locks, WI.
Those are designed to get me to the Menasha terminal so I can pick up a new transponder. Mine quit working early last week.

The Costco went better than feared, but as expected.
They did not insist I take a loaded trailer out, but they had no mt trailer so it was a live unload.

I got there at 1630 for my 1900 appointment, and they were happy enough to see me.
Their 1600 load never showed up, and still had not shown up by the time I was unloaded.

No idea why those loads out of Owatonna seldom work out, on any end. I seldom have any problems with the loads out of Morris.
Well, inept on both ends I guess.
The stores always seem to start loading up any mt trailer they have with pallets and return stuff, so they never have an mt.
And the DC seems not to be able to schedule loads at all properly, possibly because of a shortage of drivers in that area.

    Morris, IL at the TA.

Got to Amazon in Joliet this morning just before 1000, I was finally and able to leave just before 1800.
The same thing happened last time, and the time before that.
At least this time I still had a little time left on my 14.

    dptrucker and Rugerfan Thank this.

Had a 2 stop to Blaine and St. Cloud, MN today.

My next Costco load cancelled early this afternoon, which is just as well because my final refused 3 water heaters saying it was not part of their order.
The BOL had their name and address and PO number, but the heaters had the name, address and PO of my first stop in Blaine.

After doing the OSD stuff I waited a couple hours before they called me back.
No word back from the shipper yet, who may have gone home for the day. Hopefully I'll find out what to do with it tomorrow.

My home time is set for the day after tomorrow, so we'll see what happens between now and then.

And I finally have a working PrePass transponder again.
I'm happy that the replacement is the ElitePass.

    dptrucker and jackoboyo Thank this.
