The recruiters for the beginner megas should be more up front about it. At least now we're long past the dark days of 2003-2007 and have various YT channels and subreddits that will quickly give prospective drivers the hard truth about what to expect.
Of course all that info will still fall on deaf ears if kids are still utilizing YT and other platforms for watching Bimbos do stupid dances. Time to put those "flagging algorithms" into overdrive and have them torpedo that useless drivel. -
This happened to me in the oilfield. The promise of a 5 day 7-4 workweek was broken immediately.bentstrider83 and tscottme Thank this.

Sounds like they declined his application for some reason, but he doesn't want to admit the real reason. There is no such thing as a company refusing to process an application before quitting a job.

Wow. It must be awesome knowing the HR policies of every single trucking company in the States. Do you keep a spreadsheet or is it just you have such great memory to know all 500,000 plus company policies?tscottme Thanks this.

There is no such thing as quitting a job before an application is processed because said company wouldn't be able to hire some of the most qualified people, those currently doing the work for which the company is hiring. Who in their right mind would be dumb enough to quit a job they have just to have an application processed? Not talking about receiving a job offer, but simply processing the application. Nah, that's bull.

And yet, it happened....

Unless it didn't.

Do you realize how silly you look by accusing someone that's been here for 13 years of lying?

Actually, if you read my original comment, I said that I believe the person who told the poster was giving a false reason for not being able to get a job at that company. That's just my opinion.
