I’m not super happy working here. They’re not honest. Even after admitting they misled about pay rate before I took the job (bait and switch) they haven’t fixed it. Entitled boomers. Not impressed one bit… a lot of good reviews here but look at the dates. Things have changed. I will update if they fix but it’s been over a week and payroll let me know they’re not honoring their word.

.50 cpm, with no incentives. They will tell you there’s pick/drop pay at 25$, there’s a 4 category bonus that gives most drivers additional.10cpm, etc. it’s not true. Only the base rate… also, they told us 2500 for sign on bonus then it dropped to 900 in class. Don’t believe Ron the recruiter, he’s a piece of work

Yeah it’s not honest. I’d say 55-65k max.

Ok now that I’ve turned in the truck- I need to warn drivers. This job is a liability to your career in my opinion. It is my first truly terrible trucking job in short 3 year career. Now I know what the experienced guys are talking about… I didn’t deserve to be lied to, cheated out of money, and left in georgia to fly home on my own after I told them I quit. I am a stand up guy and a good, conscientious employee. I had to donate, give away, and leave behind 1000$ or more of my belongings (tools, batteries, etc couldn’t go on flight) because of a vindictive manager hired the same week I was. I hope they learn from this but I doubt it. This job is not what it used to be… look at the dates on positive reviews. The new manager, who I’ll call Brad to protect his identity, was trying to pressure me to abandon truck- there’s no other explanation for this bc I live up the street from their terminal in Oregon. It was a scary situation for my CDL, my income was almost sabotaged. He was hired 2 months ago, same week I was, and all the higher managers left him in charge while they went on vacation. Negligent. There was no sane person in that office with any power over the creepy guy.

Whatever. Ill bounce back, it’s just stuff and already being replaced via Amazon. They’ll always be half-dead miserable zombies.

What happened that caused you to quit and put yourself in the position of having to get yourself home from GA? Or did you have a feeling they wouldn’t get you home so you could quit? Either way it sucks to see a company that used to be decent start to treat people this way.

I let them know I needed to be routed home to turn in the truck whilst in the Midwest. They misled about pay. They admitted it at a meeting and made excuses for the guy, the same new manager, for saying id make 20-25k more than actual (.10cpm more plus incentives that don’t actually exist)… then they did nothing to fix it. after saying they understood what happened and empathized in a meeting.

I needed to be routed home to start a new job the following Tuesday. I don’t work under misleading companies. My first two trucking jobs didn’t mislead about pay, nor did they strand drivers- I didn’t think TP would do me dirty esp since I live in their town. I would have worked with TP and the new job if they needed another week or more to get me home- but I guess TP is the kind of place you need to lie and sneak to successfully get home and then quit as a surprise?

I wrote email requesting to bring truck home (instead of leaving it in Georgia) to unload my things. I was stonewalled. But they trusted me to drive 1200 miles the other direction? Go figure.

So I was in the Midwest when I asked dispatch to come home... I noticed the pay settlement hadn’t been corrected. They (he. Just the one little guy, the new manager) pounced on the opportunity to screw me over. He wanted to punish me for calling out his misleading about pay in meeting.

I don’t think TP wants to be like this generally. But the fact is, right now, they are like this until it’s fixed.

also, for record, my first paycheck was 1700$ short and it wasn’t easy to fix. Also, seperate of 1700 error, my orientation class was told there was a 2500$ sign on bonus, then it was swindled down to 900$ when in class. I had to refuse to accept $900 and insist on what was promised. All of this is disrespectful and drivers shouldn’t just roll over and accept it.
