Hmm. That's a good question. If it were FedEx FREIGHT, I'd say go with that unquestionably. Ground can vary greatly between all the different subcontractors.
In general, I don't think highly of YRC's future prospects. It's only the enduring assistance of Bill Zollars (who now sits on the board that gave YRC the government loan) that has kept his Frankenstein monster alive.bzinger Thanks this. -
I've read where yrc is being removed from dow Jones in December.. but I will take all things in consideration to or not to do.. fedex ground vs yrcLtlAnonymous Thanks this.

It’s impossible to say without knowing what the FedEx Ground contractor is offering. Some of them pay extremely competitive and have great routes, while others might not pay much and have undesirable routes. The only thing that’s certain is that YRC has better benefits.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

So this particular contractor would pay me 80 cpm..No insurance.. yrc 22 an hr or 58 cpm and 100 percent paid insurance after 30 day probation periodLtlAnonymous Thanks this.

I’m surprised you have it narrowed down to just YRC and a FedEx Ground contractor. Seems like everyone is hiring in KC. There’s ABF with a huge new facility just down the road from the KCMO FxG hub, Dayton Freight down near Grandview, Estes in KCK, and Old Dominion in Edwardsville.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
