@rank I didn't realize that was one of yours. When we were young we almost burnt down the hay barn at my friends house from smoking cigs. One of my friends still has a 6x6in patch of messed up skin from jumping on it and smothering it. Cup holder ashtrays are a must if you're a smoker
I know if i wasn't a smoker I'd be pissed if ppl were just chucking butts everywhere -
Well 1600 miles this week and opened this can of worms. 1100 bucks in and ordered more parts. I won't have to worry about cleaning any part. It will all be new except belt. Which has 10k on it. Now to clean this dirty mess up and wait for parts. Fricken grain dust gets everywhere.
Its gonna get cleaned, but not put back together till the other parts show up. -

Understood. Im not down. Ill load Monday and be as hot as I have been for years. But I dont like doing things over. Understood we all have had to scab things at times. I'm going for better than new.
What is the word on your trans? -
Turns out the money I paid wasn't for a full rebuild. Just replacing a key or something in the main box and then a synchro kit in the back. Took the whole truck to the guy that worked on the trans, he was supposed to pull the back box off Thursday and see if whatever went bad was in there. I haven't gotten an update further yet.
Hopefully I'll find out early next week and can get back rolling again soon, wouldn't be as big of a headache if dad's truck wasn't having issues and I could rent it for the time being.
I asked the guy if he had or could find a good 18 speed and that once harvest time was over and I had the funds to do it I'd bring it back to him to swap it and get rid of the meritor once and for all.
But once I get it out of the shop I plan to put thermostats in and do a full cooling system flush on it and inspect the pump. If I need a back plate I'll grab one or do the acert pump swap if I can find the pieces in short order and get the temps under control. -
And all because of someone's carelessness. -
Wait, you thought you were getting a rebuilt/reman trans? They changed a keyway and hi/lo synchro? Then you took it back? -
BigBob410, Lysdexis, jamespmack and 4 others Thank this.

Anybody know which .gov agency is responsible for controlling hurricanes? We need to get one held up for a couple days.
