My post was not intended as a pissing match...although I can see how it may look that way.
What I was trying to say is this:
To all of the out of work flatbedders, Maverick is a good place to work...or at least it looks that way from here.
And they are hiring...

On that note tho. Mav's standards are a lot higher than arrows. I know of several that tried to get on at mav and went to arrow. One's wife was calling me and I was helping them over at arrow. I had given them my cell number as they were struggling trying to get him a flat gig. I am not sure what happened to them. They quit calling, but I was helping him on securement issues and a few other flat bed issues.Ridgerunner665 and Lonesome Thank this.

Got a message last night over the qualcomm about Arrow shutting down. Bad deal for the drivers 3 days before Christmas. Was told to keep an eye out for Arrow trucks and to report any we have seen. They said shippers were looking for loads as most of the trucks were under load at the time.
I think this will start to happen more and more as taxes and permits come due, especially for the smaller companies.
We need to put our thoughts and prayers out there for all the Arrow drivers that got stranded. Hope they make it home for the holidays.GuysLady and doubledragon5 Thank this. -
My husband is sitting in Jonestown, PA right now and heading down towards Maryland and then back up to Boston Metro. I am to tell whomever that if they are on this route that he will pick them up to get them to better sitting grounds. We have room at the table, come on over for dinner. Send me an e-mail if you or anyone you know needs help. goldens.boys4@yahoo.com
Best of luck to you all. Sleep well, driver safe and eat plenty on Friday.Lonesome, mizdageeragn, WX4JCW and 2 others Thank this. -
I heard the bad news from my husband that Arrow Drivers were in a sore spot yesterday and so because I am a freelance writer I deceided to write an article about all that happened. There has been someone that has commented that they are willing to help out a Arrow driver, if there is anyone that is in the area that they are in. Here is the information that he left on the article.

I wonder if (DAC,HIRERIGHT,USIS) are going to give Arrow a bad report For a ABANDONMET OF DRIVERS?
-
So they are worried about the shippers loads. Too bad they are not worried about the drivers.mizdageeragn and GuysLady Thank this.

Thats because driver are disposable, don't ya know.
I have (for a number of years now) kept enough cash on me at all times to get back home. You can not trust any of the companies to watch out for the drivers.
