That's what I thought, thats what I understood at least. Then talked to the guy that did the work to the trans and that's what I was told he did.

I was told originally that he rebuilt em for around 900 bucks. And the term was rebuilt not repaired.

I paid 1400 for just trans repair. Which I thought was cheap but figured hell if it's just bearings and seals and nothing else major maybe it's not that much to do.

Live and learn I guess. The guy did say if its something he "repaired" that failed he'd make it right so....who knows

Legalized robbery. As far as I can tell, the guys that did most of the hard work....the fire department... got none of the $25,000. They had 9 men on scene, two engines and brought at least 4 tankers full of water from the airport.

They have a contract with the police....and I see a line item where they got $500. I would think there is a limit to what they supposed to be charging for this work. I get 6 men are on call 24-7 and get a call in the middle of the night and it was hotter than Jennifer Anniston’s teats but even if they pull down $100/hr for the 6.5 hrs that’s still only $4000. In reality they had two truck drivers and a skid steer operator and a mini excavator operator working. Two guys standing around at all times lol. Oh well that’s trucking as they say
