Kind of a sad laugh, just the same. I know, I complain how introverted our society has become, and while that's "my solution", the 40 year old truck, that is being selfish, and not an option for many. This chip BS is going to cost a lot of people money, money they can't really afford and for what, greed? I read, many used cars are sitting because they can't get the chips. Really? Hogwash, try and sell them a new car, if you can. We don't make money on used cars, and the poor people, have no choice living here in Bumblescum, Co. but to buy a new one, with an 84 month loan, to boot. Car hauling is probably one of the best gigs today. People may do without certain things in crisis, but cars will always be a priority. Heck, many here LIVE in them.

Hotshot here and I haven't seen a decline in cars to haul other than typical ups and downs. I suspect the guys hauling new cars to the dealers are taking a hit but people are buying used cars or they are searching all over to buy a new car then having it shipped halfway across the country.

Just because that Car Hauler had 1 or 2 left on his trailer doesn’t mean he didn’t have a full load at the start. Chip issues? My friend hasn’t been home in weeks and he’s in a Daycab (different issue) because there’s so much freight. Ford doesn’t have a issue with freight at any of their Michigan locations, Honda’s are plentiful and the Ports of Newark, Wilmington and Curtis Bay has cars . What chip problem

That must be why my GM plant cut Saturday production even though they have 50,000 trucks on order. Or that there are literally fields and any parking lot that can hold a few hundred vehicles from Detroit to Saginaw is full of GM and Ford trucks waiting on parts. No, the shortages are very real.

And we've got 3 different ramps getting absolutely hammered with volume.

@shollis125 made valid points, I'm glad someone not involved in the industry showed up to correct our misunderstanding.
