I am moving to a company that does not have cameras in their trucks. I fully support outward facing cameras in trucks, but don't know which camera to buy. Moderately priced, with cloud space please. Ideas?

Below are some examples of mine from a vantrue X-1. In the past there were many poster on here recommending Garmin cameras which had good video quality. A problem that you are going to experience is that anything coming out of China is in short supply currently and the problem is exasperated if the item has a computer chip in it which of course all video cameras have.

Is that automatically cloud-stored as you go? Thanks in advance.

No, not cloud-stored. Storage is on a micro SD card.

You can store almost a month of data on a 128gb card, and the card will have a separate folder to store events, so they won't get overwritten.

To stream even 1080p to the cloud on a regular basis would take a lot of bandwidth, and a good connection. And the data moved would be huge. And 1080p in a dash cam these days is the lowest standard. So it just goes up from there.

    So, 256gig = 2 months. Let's say 8 hour shift per day?

BTW, the x-1 seems out of stock. i'm looking at others.

Saw an bad accident today (not while at work, in my personal truck).

    Scared AF to drive now.

Keep the recommendations coming, although i'm probably going to go with the vantrue S1.

    not even close.
Depending on the dashcan 3min of video (@ 1080) is 200-450 mb... my cobra is 470mb per 3 min (alot of inbeded gps data)....
    At 200 mb per 3 min that's 1 gb every 15min or 4gb per hr..... 128gb (after formatting more like 120gb) 120/4= 30hrs

Ok, but most cams will automatically overwrite the original material starting from the very beginning if you don't purposely save any portion of what was recorded? Works for me as i don't care unless there is an "event."
