Hey thanks for the info. Can you recommend some DZ companies that will hire in Toronto GTA areas.
-
I quoted the wrong person and I don't know how to delete this.

Going to have to respectfully disagree. I paid for an AZ, not a DZ. If it takes me 1-2 years of being underpaid while soaking in the experiences of OTR driving in an articulated truck hauling different freight, I'm going to do it. I will guarantee when I come out of that 1/2 year contract I'll be a better driver then the guy who drove a straight truck through city streets.Russell The Trucker and liner Thank this.

Have any of you guys tried the driver agencies? That's how I started back in the 90's. It's a lot of temp work but it's better than nothing. It'll probably be local work and not otr. I remember doing Kingston switches for $100. It's been a long time so I don't know what the agencies offer now.

sysco is hiring right now $28 to start, 4 10hr shifts a week lol
Simonpete Thanks this. -
You'll also wear out your body. Not worth the money.Russell The Trucker Thanks this.

Gfs also hiring @25.50 hourly and with their pay formula in place you could end up making more $28-30/hourly. Don't mind the physical. Def worth it. Also lots of OT.

As previously stated apply for warehouse job with outfit that operates its own trucks. After employer gains confidence in you you'll be rewarded.
