Lost top speed on my cab blower motor. Speed 1 and 2 work fine, but switch to 3 and it shuts off, was working fine a few days ago. Is there a resistor or a relay I need to replace? This is my first KW, I've only been around peterbilts, but both are paccar so I thought they would be a similar set up.

Checked all fuses and swapped around the relays down by the clutch, and nothing changed.

If the resistor blows normally it only has off and full bore. Resistor, open passenger side door, theres a plug just below glove box on the side, unplug it, if you get full speed back, might try replacing it.

I would lean more towards the switch/connector in the ac control box being bad, its a replaceable cheap part, 15$ vs the whole control (700$)

71r1160 is the part number of the switch. Mine did the same thing. There is a guy on ebay called heavy_air he has the switch and connector for cheap. I am replacing my blower motor also. They are 50 bucks. Something made the switch melt. Better safe than sorry.
