This point can be argued all night, at the end of the day it will stick...so you gotta either deal with it or spend time and money fighting something that you will lose.

There are a lot of companies that don't use DAC. Frankly, most of the better small companies don't. 3mo's exp. is what's going to hurt you more then the DAC.

"It's alright guys. The Wal-mart down the street is looking for greeters. I have a great smile and some people have said that I resemble a male lot lizard. I'm over it already. My wife is feeling better. Maybe I can recreate a son I lost. I love what the dispatcher said to me at the end of the call, " We are putting this on your DAC, you'll never be able to get a trucking job again, Merry Christmas!" Click. "----

are you the same one who started this thread under a different name or did i miss something?

    Okay,

Firstly whether they ran illegal or not is not something to be used to defend you NOW. If you had been fired for refusing to run illegal, or had quit because they ran illegal then maybe you can ran around screaming BUT THEY RAN ILLEGAL, but you are using it now as a halfassed excuse for quitting in the wrong way. You knew they ran illegal for some time. You knowingly ran illegal for some time without putting up a fuss. You lost your right to complain about it once you did it for more then a week and accepted the money for it. Thats that.

As for your future? Finding a job with load abandonment in this market is nil. Near nil. Except for companies that will make raider look like one of the best companies in the world in most cases. People say explain it to them? With less then a year experience, very few companies will hire. With less then a year and load abandonment? Most are not even going to call back FOR an explanation.

The correct way to handle it would have been to call them as soon as you knew something was up at home, if you had done that and they had been ##### about it, and you quit, we'd be spewing a whole different line of thought. But what you did is take the time to DECIDE to quit after the call from the wife, dropped the load, THEN CALLED them to tell them you had an issue. That sir is premeditated actions. You chose to leave them in the dark. You will need to find another line of work. Its that simple.

How can any other company trust you are not going to drop some hot load somewhere without notice again if you get a call? You are not the only driver ever to have a family emergency on the road, the difference is how you handled it.

IROC- How is it premeditated if he left for a family emergency. Seems like you know a lot considering you been in the industry for 2 years.

First thing I would do is contact the FMCSA with any complaints/info

you have about RAIDER EXPRESS or the dispatcher. Followed by a statement

of what he said to you. And donot walk but run to a lawyer. And as far as

the comment above, he does not know his rights, what he can do, cldnt do.

After all he is a rookie, just because he did something this early in his career

due to a family emergency doesnt mean he needs to find a new career
or is a bad driver, geez. Your up on your high horse arent you?:biggrin_2556:

And btw its not everyday A husband has his wife miscariage. How do you know that

dispatcher wasn't already on the verge of being fired and Late ld with good reason

or late load with no good reason, he was gonna be irrational and a jerk regardless.. just

sayin. You werent there and donot know the circumstances in which things happened

So dont pass judgement based on what you think you know is right or what kind

of career he should be leaving to find another.

    she thinks she does:biggrin_25513:

Hey iroc, dont come here whining when circumstances haulter you from bein able to do the "right" thing and are hung out to dry by a dispatcher/company you thought you had a good relationship with.
