she's dead on. it's premeditated because he said himself he dropped his equipment under a load then quit. Then he gets on here b/c his dispatcher hurt his feelings and threw them under the bus for "making" him run illegal.
It don't take 2 years in the industry to know that's a bad idea. I've been in longer then that and while I worked for a few bottom-feeder companies, I was able to come out with a clean DAC. By not doing what he did. Seeing as how you have less then a year in the industry and don't think he did anything wrong, hopefully you will learn from what happened to him that it's a bad idea to drop a loaded trailer in the way that he did before your career is gone too.
Is it over for me

Yeah, I'm thinking more and more he's screwed. At least, he should make sure they list it on his DAC that he dropped the load and the truck at the yard. That should make it look somewhat alright to the next employer. Still. Not to drop kick you pirate. A512 makes a good point 2. Pirate, do what you can to fight it out. A lot guys will agree that Raider is a scheming company and will back you up. You've got my vote. Mix view points it's hard to say what you need to do.

Did it all bassackwards..... -
IF he had explained what his problems were and said he needed time off, but was refused; he MIGHT have a foot to stand on. But according to his story, that isn't what he did. He is screwed.
End of story. -
Did his dispatcher hurt his feelings before or after the trlr was dropped?
Sometimes things happen where you can't pull that load. Was he in an
emotional state that would have been best if he did? Maybe he
unexclaimingly told them what he needed to do and they didn't believe
him, or just didn't care. I mean, I was never a whiner and got my but
down the rd when I had to and was very succesful before I got hurt.
But what right is right, whats wrong is wrong. And some of these
dispatchers and companies ruin ppls lives for no good rsns' other then
emotions. Arrogant dispatchers just make me mad sometimes. -
according to him his dispatcher was mad after he cleaned out truck, then called in. BTW whether he was emotional or in no frame of mind is not the issue...he didn't call in and explain the problem and hope they would understand, he just quit. by his own account on this thread.....

months which is the hardest, sometimes things happen to people
combined with stress of bein from home, dissatisfaction, frusteration,
confusion that leads to sht happening. That doesnt mean his career
should be ruined. "this is ld abaandonment. Oh btw you'll never be able
to drive a truck again in your life" Sounds to me like that is vindictive and
the dispatcher wasn't getting what he wanted. Might not have
been something that was in the drivers best interest, but he doesnt
care. These companys that train treat and view their new recruits as
"warm bodys" and have no consideration for ppl, their lives or family.
No matter what the circumstances may be PERIOD
And I understand yalls point of views. There are alot of rookies that come on
here complaining about stuff that they caused but some dispatchers
in this industry, you cant forget..DONOT PLAY BY THE RULES. yall should know better.
I didnt even read the original story HA..LOL I just nkow how
ppl get taken advantage of that donot know their rights or to how
to stand up to a bully dispatcher that argues with ppl allday.
And are better at it then them and, quits or is terminated.

One thing about the Camaro girl.... She reads, learns, & studies to advance her knowledge of the industry. When she gets hurt, she doesn't snivel, whine, or quit. She stands even taller & does what she has to do to get the job done!Poobah Thanks this. -
amen redd!

Listen, dont post my quotes on display and make cheap attacks at them.
Come back when you got somethin worth sayin..lol Because I hurt my little back? lol
How do you know what kind of injury I have, how severe or what I can deal
with as compared to someone else. You ever had a herniated disc or pinched nerve or
experienced chronic pain? Are you my doctor? Get the job done, lmao. You cant
drive if you are in pain 24/7 "redd", much less sleep and if it werent for me getting
hurt I would still be driving. And I drove til I just couldn't no more. And avg 12-13k mi/mo btw
lol, when you aint got something ignorant to say..lemme know
