If you want to be sure there is no air in the system, try one of these. The process will not work if there in any leaks. Most new cars have to be filled this way. Any diesel with an egr cooler this is the safest way, prevents the cooler from cracking or burning out from having air in it. I fill school buses with over 100' of heater hose and 4 heater cores with almost 3 5 gallon pails, and never have to top up. There are other brands, but this is the one I have.
