I had an interesting thought. If a manufacturer made a cb radio like the flex radios. To add mods or noise toys, or tweak the modulation or power output through simple software downloads. Without the high price tag that is...ha. I guess it would put a lot of Tech's out of business.

Not really a big task when you break the entire thing down to the different functions. You would be surprised at how many radios are SDRs. Now they have radios that are the size of a small iPhone (thinker though) that has 4 watts and transmits/receives on a bunch of bands.
