Hi. Got a 2022 VNL 740. I bought a stereo system and need to remove some trim panels to run wires. I'm looking for info on how to remove them properly so I don't damage them and they go back on securely. Anyone have experience with this? Does the service manual have instructions with diagrams on how to remove? If so, do you know where I could download it? The panels with the blue dots are the ones I'd like to remove. For the door, I'm not sure if I'd need to remove the whole door panel or just the speaker grill. Thanks.

Whats wrong with stereo in new volvo . Unless you need that bass so bad to keep you awake . I am under impression that most new vehicles have decent sound systems .
Snailexpress Thanks this. -
Call the dealer and ask them if they will be nice enough to provide instructions , but im sure 10 year old volvo have similar removal procedure , door stayed same - just panel got changed

All new trucks all you have to do is just pull, hard.

This is the best of what I can remember. Volvos are pretty forgiving with the trim. It takes a moderate amount of force to pull the trim off.

Hey I'm interested in replacing my speakers too. Can you tell me the speaker size in the doors and the dash?

Should just need a screwdriver.
side note - there is a neater way to wire the Elog, the wires are ready for it and under the center dashboard panel flat storage area to the right of the power ports. -
Back in my younger days we would have killed for a sound system as good as the ones that come from the OEM's now. If you need better go for it.

Be careful what you mess with regarding the electrical system on these new trucks.
Case in point.........
Company bought new 15 2021 Cascadia's. 5 were going to trainers so they needed passenger seats (we normally don't have them except for trainers). Someone decided that they were going to take driver's seats out of 5 other new trucks and put them in the trainer's trucks so they had matching seats. Those 5 trucks the driver's seats came out of were going to get aftermarket seats. Well.............they bricked those 5 trucks the seats came out of! Wouldn't run! Had to go get the appropriate driver's seats back in their respective trucks so that they would run.
