Great company. I liked them. They have automatics just so you know. You probably want to stick with stick if you are coming straight out of school for the experience.

Greetings after a long stint away from the industry! I'm looking to return to the road & find myself in need of contact information for my former employer. Could anyone recommend what phone number or fax to list for Willis Shaw Express since both this company and Comcar seem to no longer exist? Surely some subsidiary or holding company would have access to such records of employment.

White Willow Holdings bought the dry van and reefer business.

Depends on how long it's been. I too used to drive for Willis Shaw and I was told most of their employment records are still sitting in Elm Springs. Since WSE no longer exists and later the Comcar company that WSE was absorbed into itself no longer exists you might find getting this information basically impossible. There is an FMCSA procedure in place that deals with this! It's located in part 391.23 (c)(3). Go on ahead and list your driving history on an application. If a new carrier can't get a confirmation of this information all they have to do is contact the FMCSA of their good faith attempt, then they are covered! Good luck!

A lot of companies will want your w2's from companies that are no longer in business.
If you still have your w2's from when you worked there, they may take that since the company is out of business.
