That's exactly what happened to me several times and then it got to the point where I was tired of it and they're doing it to the owner operators too...
I'm sorry that you had to experience that.... I'm on my way out.. because I know the money is not there anymore

 

This is the owner's son-in-law who runs this company. His name is Rico. You've been running this company into the ground for the last 2 and 1/2 years... think before you jump

 

Correction, Rico is not his son in law. Tom Crimmins is his son in law and COO of the company. Rico is in charge of the Great Lakes region. Rico and his buddy Jeff are the biggest problem in management. They don’t have a clue. We call Rico a used car salesman. Jeff is condescending and disrespectful to drivers. Pity because he was a great dispatcher. I guess the promotion went to his head.

They are bound by the Service Contract Act to pay all hours worked. Driving and on duty. If they are shorting you hours, contact the US dept of Labor and they will investigate.

That’s just not true. They gave contracts back in order to bid them at a higher rate. They were then underbid on a few of those. The work hours depends on your location. We have 70 drivers here and 17 are on six day runs.

My opinion for what it’s worth. It was a better place to work five years ago. The management in the Great Lakes region is awful. We have pushed back in many areas and been able to make some changes. We have a long way to go. Recruiting department is horrible. Would I recommend you to come here right now? No way. There are too many issues at the present time. Hopefully these will get resolved in the coming months. If not, I’m out of here.

They don't care if you leave. If you were there for 10 years and never missed a day they could care less. They will also replace you with someone that has one year experience, and the way I look at it, there's other fish in the sea. Worst thing someone could do is stay at a place where you're not happy and the stress level goes off the hook. They got some serious issues. 90% of their Freight in the midwest is 40 hours 6 days a week, and they think that they have enough relay drivers to do the trip that way. They also think that you're going to work 6 days a week and only get a 40 hour paycheck. That coupled with the fact that their insurance is absolutely worthless.. that once the well is dry what choice do you have

You hit it right on the head. Jeff is the most inhumane person I've ever spoken to. My last few months at this company I had the block the company phone number. Eventually I just threw in the towel I can't complain, I made a ton of money with them but this is not the company that was back then. I hung in there until the last penny and then I just said it's time to roll

 

All you have to type is..ten roads is terrible ..its on Facebook... latest news is that the company tried to threaten drivers from forming a union. Now they're getting senator Dick Durbin involved.... because they interfered with collective bargaining. ... go on the 10 roads website... and check their positions available Countrywide.. 40 hours a week 6 ,days a week... what driver is going to do that?.... and if you take one of those positions the driver after you on the relay? Won't show up... do yourself a favor if you like your blood pressure to be normal? If you want to avoid extra stress that you don't need, and if you don't like being treated like crap by incompetent management? Then don't settle for the $900 paycheck from these guys.... who wants to work 6 days a week with no family life and only make $900... just remember they don't pay for you to sit..
