Stuck in Lodi again!

 

We dropped our crane parts today and reload tomorrow so that's not bad. Quite a few empty open deck trucks sitting around.

 

Today, September/7th is Independence day in Brasil... And as presidential elections will happen in 2022, there were many popular demonstrations all over the country. Millions of people in most major cities gathered for and against the President, Jair Bolsonaro. Demonstrations started in Brasilia, federal capital.
There was an air show, parade and president's speech to over 100 thousand people...






Guy recorded images from the top of one big truck to show the crowd.



From there, the president flew to São Paulo, the biggest city in Brasil where there were thousands and thousands more... Caravans and buses full of people coming from all over the country to watch him...

The huge Paulista Ave. where over one hundred thousand people were waiting for him...

His helicopter landed in that empty space down there... in the heart of São Paulo city.



I got tears of emotion and happiness watching online all those Brazilians united in the name of their country, participating in those peaceful demonstrations all over the country, for the Constitution, for the freedom of individuals, against the corruption in the Supreme Court, against the censorship and persecution of politicians and demanding a printed auditable ballot because they don't want to see in Brasil the same thing that happened in the American elections....
And among all those millions of people, there was no violence or murder or destruction of any property.... This is what I would love to see in this country....
I am proud of those Brazilians and wish I were there...

At the end he shouts, "Brasil above it all, and GOD above everybody!!"
I LOVE IT!!!

 

In that last video he was saying, among other things that he and the people DEMAND a clean and transparent election, printed ballots with ballot counting to avoid FRAUD... I so much hope so....

We need to go back to paper ballots, hanging chads be darned. I'd rather deal with with recounts of hanging chads that the flagrant fraud of unaccountability with low tech digital and anonymous ballots we have now.

 

On another note, it would be nice if I quit screwing myself. Pulled the low pressure line out of the a/c compressor while there was a vacuum on the system and sucked in an o-ring. No clue if it went into the compressor or the low pressure line.... After I get my camshaft swapped, I guess I get to start dissecting my a/c system until I find it.

 

Here is a better view of that crowd in Paulista Ave. today... for sure a lot more than 140 thousand people... millions...

Images are not good and there's no sound. But it does give an idea of the crowds... There was one big truck with a stage on top...



A friend of mine was there and sent me a quick video....

In Brasilia, the police put up a barricade but the truck drivers invaded... All without violence! A sign on a truck reads, "out with communism. Brazil with Bolsonaro."

 

You get into the sauce? Thinking that holiday was in May!

 

Get a tank of nitrogen with a regulator and add a blow gun to hose. Flush reverse flow.
