Oversize banner and flag placement/mounting issues.

So I got a oddball job the end at the end of week the is going to require me to pull a permit and put some flags up. Load is pre-built wall panels for residential house total width is 9' 1" to 9' 3".
Well my issues is there is no good place to put the flags or banners.

The front I can secure the banners on the bumper using bungee cord or magnets. I have 6 grommet banner and I think I will just use 2-3 magnets to hold it up on the top. I don't have any pole mounts for flags so I was thinking of using magnets with custom made metal rod to hole the flag sicking out. I did a test run with that on my pickup and the magnet got taken off after 45-50 mph. I don't know if the flags with the center hole would hold better but then it wont sick out. That is if I can even get the locally.

On the rear, the only place I can put a banner is on the underride guard. However, the issue there is the rail is not wider then the banner. There is no place to hold the bottom. So again I am thinking 2-3 magnets and letting it flap in the wind but don't know if the 80lb magnets will hold it. The flag I can magnet them to the bed but again will fly off if I stick them out. If I use a center hold flag run it parallel to the bed or on the back and might hold.

I am located in Iowa by the way. As I read the rules I don't have to have the flags extend past the bumpers just the load has to have flag out past the truck to the width of the load. Also the rear banner can just be on the load itself?

Signs and flags: A sign reading "Oversize Load" must be at least 18 inches high by 7 feet long with a minimum of 10-inch black letters with a 1 1/2-inch
stroke, on a yellow background, and mounted on the front bumper and on the rear of the load. A rear sign for mobile homes must be mounted at least 7 feet
above the highway surface, measuring from the bottom of the sign. Flags must be red or orange fluorescent and at least 18 inches square. Flags must be
mounted as follows: one flag at each front corner of the towing unit and one flag at each rear corner of the load. In addition, there must be a flag at any
additional protrusion in the width of the load. The signs or warning devices must be mounted so they can be removed or covered when the vehicle is within
legal dimensions.

 

Would this be acceptable for the rear or should I put it on the load.

 

Not like there is may other options. If it goes on the load the crane will block it. The crane is not wide enough to mount it. If I did find a way to put it over the crane my lights would be blocked, would not be straight/flat, probably get damaged and fly off. According to the rules of it is not a mobile home there is no hight requirement.

This also brings me to over length loads. Flags are required for rear overhang exceeding 4 feet on all permitted vehicles/ loads. In this case do they mean 4' from the bed or 4' from the very back of the truck. The crane and tail lights sit about 2' further then the bed making it the rear.
