I am looking into new trucks and an idea came up and I am looking for some good honest feedback. I am wondering, if I were to buy a glider from whomever, would a new automated trans work as well behind a pre-1999 engine?
I do love having total control of my rig but cannot deny the consistency and efficiency that the automated trans delivers.
Looking for good advice and or knowledge on this...thanks in advance

Yes it can be done, but it can be expensive. I know someone who mated a allison automatic to a c15 in a glider kit. It took a lot of time to get the engine to communicate properly with the transmission.
