I would think that the burnout rate for recruiters is quite high, it's got to be the equivalent to piece work on an assembly line! Every time I've applied back to Knight, I get a different recruiter and I always asked what happened to Chris, Terra, Jordan or whoever. I always get the answer that they moved on "other things in the company" at best and "I don't know" at worst.
My first was with Swift and I was talking to my recruiter after I was hired and he said that he doesn't waste time on less than motivated people who want to drive for Swift. He said you can tell serious from non committed pretty easily.
Normal for recruiter to basically ignore you?

Yeah, if they don't have the time or knowledge to answer your questions, part of their job description I believe, then it time to say "thanks, but no thanks". And tell them why, if they should ask.

JoeyJunk, Sir Grouch and Lucky12 Thank this.

The only recruiter I talked to was very nice. We talked many times on the phone and I even went in and talked to him face to face for a while. He was very nice and was honest enough that I decided I didn’t want the job even though they all seemed like nice people. Finally I can’t work for peanuts either. (This wasn’t with the company your talking about. I was going to lease my truck on with a company.)

The recruiter finally got in touch with me via email. Apologized for the long delay and answered all the questions I had asked. Happened shortly after starting this thread here. Hmmm. -

I was in orientation a few weeks ago and was the only one of 4 to even show up. I asked about that and was told 'you'd be surprised how many Grandmothers Die the day before orientation " lol. Cold feet? Who knows
