I drove a Prostar on a quick trip to KY. I thought it was a nice ride. This one had a APU, which was pretty cool to mess with. 2010 Prostar Premium, Cummins power with 13 speed. Had over head compartments above the dash. One lower type closet in the bunk behind drivers seat, with a shelf on top, then another closet to the roof above that.
Behind the passenger seat was another closet roof to mid-level, with a self for a tv, a pull out desk, then room for fridge on floor. Had little cubbys on sides of seats and behind seats, double bunk. Pretty much equal to what t600 may have. I like the wider cab, fell t600/w900 are to narrow between the seats. No glove box, that is where all the fuses/circuit breakers are. You can hear them clicking. Along with the windshield wipers were loud behind the dash.
It had the cruise, light interupts, and engine brake controls on the steering wheel.
Basic complement of gauges.
Did have multi display for MPG, rear axle air pressure equated in to LBS, which I find handy. compass, and thermometer.
I liked the way it handled, and the short hood, made visibility and backing easier.
Probably one of the best rides as far as a truck goes.
Not sure how JCT equips their trucks.
Overall, I give the Prostar high marks, and when I make the move towards JCT, that is what I would hope to get.

Having a bit of freezing ran in the Joplin Mo area, down to Okla City Ok.
Roads are going to be a mess
Be careful -
Was just reading a article on Paperless logs, logging via Qualcom. Looks like when DOT are doing audits, they can request GPS info to match paper logs. Looks like that may the next thing shoved down the truckers throat. What is the scuttlebutt at JCT regarding paperless logs.

I am a company driver for JCT and I heard (but have not seen) that there are 5 trucks that are trying them out. I have not talked to the drivers that have them though.

Everyone will be going logless/paperless....Love it or leave it...
If you compare Pros Star to the Cascadia, you will LOVE the Cascadia over the International. -
Amen to the Cascadia

Running on I-80 this morning in NE, so far the roads arelear and dry, just a bit of wind. We' have lucked out so far with this storm.Paperless logs... sigh... went to them while at CRE. No more creative writing... a pain in the #%* when the clock is ticking down and you are trying to get to a place to park and the violation alarm goes off! Not a fan... Hope to meet up with each of you this year, got a great bunch of people here!Stay Safe!

With CVA2010 coming next year when DOT comes into the company to do a compliance audit they will be able to pull GPS info from the Qualcomm or peoplenet systems and compare that to your logs, In the past they needed the companies permission or a court order to match GPS info to logs.

I don't know if it's true or not but I heard the John said when that happens he will pull the qualcomm out of the trucks. I also have been hearing something about going regional. Anyone else?
