Ive watched numerous videos of rebuild and havent seen anything regarding a way to adjust the point at which the safety lock on the handle catches at.

That is different than mine. But I would bet that the adjustment is similar. I have a jsk37u. They have a phone number on their website. If it can wait until tomorrow I bet they would help. I hope this helps.

It took me a minute to find the diagram of yours. If you see the dark blue wedge that locks it shut, the adjustment is the nut on the end of the rod that connects to it. Screenshot_20210912-074500_Drive.jpg

Yea that just adjusts it to correct tightness. I can do that. My problem is that blue wedge keeps backing itself out til the safety release handle catches and by then i have alot of fifth wheel slack. That wedge is tapered so one way it removes slack and backing out it creates slack. Dont know why it wont stay where its put.

Your diagram says the double spring is to keep it closed? So why isnt it. Its brand new springs.

Your air release switch/valve may be leaking.
