I come home. After 6 months on the road. Got a few things not working. Had to get new car battery. Other stuff. One that's got me. I have a 42 inch flat screen TV. Use it for computer. Hardly ever check TV. The darn TV isn't working. It's a Samsung. Red light on at bottom. Absolutely no controls on the TV itself. Changed batteries in remote. Best I've found on info. There is only two pc boards in it. One might be out because of lightning. I have a good protection power supply. I know it isn't fool proof. With other things out. I think this might have happened.
Now I got plenty of money. Can get a new one same size Samsung for $399. In checking things. I hooked up a little 19 inch Sansui flat screen. Working good.
Right now I'm thinking it just isn't worth replacing the 42 incher. I have other things I want and need to spend money on. I plan on making it home only one week every three months. I got computers coming out the ying yang. Home computer, Laptop, iPad, iPhone. All apple. Gotta admit. My little apple home computer. I was thinking of just replacing it with a Mac. That screen is beautiful. But not 42 inches.
So you agree with me? Forget the big screen?

You can get new TV and unplug when leaving home or just forget it. I watch more YouTube and stuff. I have very old iMac now and don't even use it anymore. Apple won't update OS anymore. It's like a 2009 but still turns on

Yup.... I have an old power Mac sitting in the basement. Only thing wrong with it is it's obsolete.
I'm also getting more and more turned off of online. I don't youtube anymore. I hate all the politics. Don't watch TV.
I'm so turned off. I have a de-googled Android phone for when I'm off work. They can't track me with it. No data gathering of me.

How good is the larger screen for computer work. Is it clear?
I've been thinking about getting a larger screen.

I only use YouTube for music. "Swan" is my favorite.

Yes it's nice. All I really do is sit back farther from it.
Biggest thing it did for me. I was learning piano. On a VPC1. I was able to have everything up there on the screen. Easy to see. The music and other info for adjustments. But without practicing alll the time. Piano is tough to learn. Have thought about selling my VPC1. I do love it though.
This little 19 inch. I'm right on top of it. But it works great.

My flatscreen appeared dead. It turned out the power brick died. I replaced it with another compatible brick from Ebay or Amazon.

Go to Walmart, can probably get an off brand 65 incher for that much. Who cares if it’s not Samsung if you rarely use it. Or like you said, don’t worry about it.

Hell I probably wouldn’t even have a house if I was out on the road that much.

I travel through life lightly. Everything I own in the world fits either into my truck or my compact car. No way would I ever have a 42 inch screen.

6 months on the road.? Whow..I thought 2 weeks is a long enough time? Regardless, if you don't plan on being home much then what's a t.v. really at home and like someone mentioned possibly a smaller t.v. or at least one that can fit into your truck in case you want to use it in your truck or home.
