    Yes sir!
As long as it's Loves. Doesn't matter which one. Also the TA on 90 after you cross into Wisconsin. The TA in Billings Montana also.

    The new trucks idle unlimited.
Meaning they won't shut themselves off. The old Volvos would unless you set the trailer break and not the tractor break. ALL new trucks have Idle free units. Which are powered by separate batteries located under the catwalk.
When the batteries run low the unit will start the truck and recharge the system then shut the truck off and resume operation. If the unit breaks then you can idle until they can get it fixed. Our trucks do not have a hard shutdown. I idled mine for almost 2 weeks until I could get back to Minneapolis to have it fixed.

Ours will only idle if you up the rpm to 900. They do not restart the truck only shut off the interior power. I always thought this was strange.

I don't understand these two sentences, they seem contradictory to me:

    "The new trucks idle unlimited."

"All new trucks have idle free units. Which are powered by separate batteries located under the catwalk. When the batteries run low the unit will start the truck and recharge the system then shut the truck off and resume operation."

Okay so if the truck is idling then the batteries should always be charged, so I don't understand these two sentences? Is this some kind of "opti-idle" thing that the new trucks have (I've never had "opti idle" so I don't know much about it)?

Do you guys use Qualcomm? And do you have to follow a certain route or can you route yourself if it's within reason?

And how often are you having to start your work day immediately when your 10 hour break is up? Or are 11-12 hour sleeper births pretty common if you want them?

Do they force you to chain?

And they come with inverters and fridges right?

You said you take 3 days off after 2 weeks. What are the chances I run 4 weeks and get a week off, would the owner go for that (it's basically the same thing as what you're doing I would just stay out longer though)?

The trucks do not turn off by themselves.
There is no automatic shut off. When you shut off at break. You turn on the Idle free unit which then controls the truck. And will restart the truck when it needs to recharge the unit. You don't have to do anything. Once you turn the unit on it does everything for you.

    We use Qualcomm.
We route ourselves. I don't know anyone who uses the Qualcomm routing. Get a GPS!
You can start your day based on your appointment time. We DO NOT chain trucks. If you need to chain then you shouldn't be driving. All trucks come with built in fridge and inverters.
They're not really strict on home time. If you stay out a month you could probably take a week off or at least 5 days.

Did it take you a while to get used to the truck starting and stopping all night with the "idle free unit" where you could eventually sleep through the start/stop cycles?

I've done reefer and dry van before. With a reefer unit if it was running on Start/Stop Mode would sometimes wake me up and sometimes it wouldn't. But that was outside of the truck too so the newer and better units didn't really shake the truck too much (where as the old units would rattle the truck pretty bad upon starting/stopping).
