South Dakota. I was full time trucker and didn't care where to get residency, so best option of course cheaper insurance and no state income tax. I've got virtual office address on everything including insurance, bank statements and my CDL and got rejected in the step of getting plates. Good state to be registered there though, if you have real address. Insurance is way cheaper then Chicago or Florida.

I think it's more about the type of virtual office and if it's like a well known type like Regis that has virtual offices everywhere.
-
Who do you recommend?

The I'm using here is just a single office location not a well known national group. Look for something like that.DSK333 Thanks this.

Well, I think IRP personnel just google the address and it shows up right away what is there because virtual office companies advertise their services and of course it shows up in search engines. I used shall family based virtual office.
Maybe in your location, IRP people don't have that much time to investigate and as long as you have 3 peaces of proof they move on.DSK333 Thanks this. -
That's possible. No clue why then. The place i use has real offices as well and they use the same address as i do for my virtual office.

May be you can use a PO box

Pretty sure you'll get some flak somewhere along the way for trying to use a PO Box on a CDL or DOT/MC registration. Renting an office space would be the obvious solution if you don't want your home address out there, which would be a tax write-off of course.
