Hi, not sure if this goes in this specific thread.
I am managing a fleet of 38 vans/small trucks. I am looking to get a fuel card that will help prevent fuel misuse and theft etc. Currently, our drivers swap around trucks and no one has a designated truck/van. What would be the best way to assign fuel cards and what would be the best fuel card company to use for this? How do you prevent fuel misuse in a case where you would have 3 drivers swap on the same truck in 3 days. Would it be best to assign each fuel card for each vehicle? Or possibly to assign each driver with their own fuel card and pin? If each driver has their own fleet card, how do you monitor mileage? If each truck has their own card, how do you monitor who fueled it today and tomorrow and so on? A bit confused on this.. Thank you for any input

I use Google sheets and give each driver of mine a log in.
You could do monthly ones but it’s very labour intensiveVolvo670ISX500 Thanks this. -
That does sound like a good option, but I am trying to avoid having them do more sheets and logs if any way possible

I would not recommend using a public free service like Google for business needs. When I'm getting set up with a new brokerage and they use AOL, Gmail, Hotmail etc etc for their digital messages I refuse to work with them. Anyway, the card should be attached directly to each separate employee. Try NASTC or FleetOne for providers.

Any of the fuel cards will do what you want. Just set them to require all the info you want.
