I just graduated from truck driving school and got my CDL! Aced my test 100% and I'm ready to start my new career as a rich and famous truck driver BUT... first things first: Can I power a coffee machine in the truck? Wakefulness is next to godliness.
Also wondering about a little Ninja blender (1000 watts).
Thanks friends.

They sell 12 volt coffee makers. You can find them at the truckstops.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Get through orientation first with what ever company. Get what ever truck. Drive it for a month. If you still like driving trucks. Then accessorize. Otherwise you may find after a month trucking may not be for you and your stuck with junk that no one else wants. Otherwise the company will fine you if you dont clean out the truck of your junk.
Turbodriven, dunchues, Speed_Drums and 5 others Thank this. -
Depends on if you have an inverter in your truck and if so, how many watts it can produce. I have an 1800 watt inverter. Coffee pot is no problem for it. I just have a cheap 4 cup Mr. Coffee brewer. Works just fine for me. I know many like the Koerig with the k cup thingies.
Mostly, I just get coffee at a truck stop. But, if I'm someplace like one of our terminals without Coffee or a rest area or wherever, I'll brew my morning cup in my truck. But, with setting it up, brewing, cleaning it afterward and then having to stow it back away, just usually easier to get it at a truck stop.Turbodriven and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

The RoadPro 12v coffee maker is a POS.
I've had four of them burn up, all warranty replacements. The best one lasted two months, the worst one two weeks.
My RoadPro lunchbox oven, OTOH, 3 1/2 years without a hiccup.
Yeah, and what lovesthedrive said....Speed_Drums, Rideandrepair, tscottme and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'll say only this. Assuming you have an inverter. Avoid all 12v items. Compared to household. They ALL SUCK.
nredfor88, tscottme, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.
