When I left the northland and went back to the downtown dealer, it was 45-60 min each way.
Morning was a nice way to drink coffee, in my 6.2 diesel 1 ton with a 5spd, surrounded by yuppies in their sport utes.
Evening was nice wind down time. Used to clean my bay and leave 20 min later after the rush, and arrive home less then 5 min later then if I would have launched into the fray at quitting time.

As many people that like to park in your yard ya need to open a bar or buy a hook.

 

Was talking recently to a fellow who's in the import business, told me a year or so ago it used to cost him $4,700 to get a shipping container here from china, now the price is $27,000...

 

Geeez 27k, used to get a container and 4 families for that price.

 

Real estate has went up here too. Cousin up the street listed her house for $203,000. In less than a month it sold! On just a small lot with 1 car garage under the end.....

If one has enough $$$$, there's nothing one can't get or get out of. No matter what BS is being sown, if you drill down, it always comes back to $$$.

 

Kept getting phone calls on my cell while driving, same area code but unknown # to me. Last Saturday happened again, ok, lets see who wants something. Woman says she is so and so from the state dept of health, chose my # at random, advises that the call is recorded, and wants to conduct a questionnaire regarding my covid-19 best safe health practices. I say, what are you trying to sell me? She says, nothing. I say, I've nothing to say to you, good-bye, end call.

A few months back, in the mail, I kept getting a 4 page questionnaire from the USDA wanting to know a myriad of information regarding our farm, how many acres, how many tillable, list all the crops grown, including amounts, etc etc. In all my years here, I've never received anything like that. Each and every one received has gone into the burner.

I know what's going on, and it aint good...
