    2016 t680 with a Paccar MX13.
    The truck is NOT deleted.

Got a Davie 4, checked the codes since both check lights came on while sitting at home for a few weeks. Cleared the codes, tried to update the software and I think I broke the truck.

PCI updated fine, 18 software's up to date. But the EAS fails to update claiming "Unable to read ECU parimiters" and than states no software installed. Return to factory settings and retrying the install both fail and it remains saying no software installed.

As a result the truck sees no def in the tank (it was at 3/4 when I got home and even added 2.5gals from Walmart to make sure it wasn't empty) and goes into maximum derate in limp home mode.

Throws out a long list of U#### errors all saying "timeout - from aftertreatment system".

Have tried toggling off and on the key to reset the computer, disconnecting the batteries for 15 mins (I flip the battery disconnect when away from the truck at home anyway so it's off for hours before doing this), restarting and reconnecting davie, retrying over and over and over. Also checked the fuses and made sure davie was plugged directly into the port and not through a Y splitter.

Anybody else have an idea of what I can try before I use Davie to disable the derate and drive it 15 miles to a kenworth shop?

Does the EAS ECU have it's own power supply at the batteries? Like an eyelet that may have been missed? Everything you have is a symptom of an ecu not powering up.

No clue, the "disconnecting the batteries for 15 mins" was just via the battery disconnect switches to cut all power, not physically removing the cables.

Ah. Ok. Got this info out of the 2016 t680 body builders manual: "Only an OBD compliant battery disconnect switch may be installed on vehicles equipped EPA 2013 and beyond compliant diesel engines. An OBD compliant switch and harness, even in the off position, supply a small amount of power to the engine controller and enable certain emissions critical functions (e.g. DEF line purge). Any modifications to the electrical system which interrupt this power supply will cause OBD fault codes and illumination of the MIL."

It might be worth it to remove the negative battery cables and turn on the headlights to drain any capacitors in the ECMS, and let that sit for 15 minutes.

Didn't work. Had the batteries unplugged for half an hour, redownloaded the software, tried to update the EAS and immediately got a "Failed to read ECU perimeters" error. Then return to factory settings failed as well.

    The EAS shows corrupt software.

Make sure your Davie tool is equipped with the latest version. Refresh the prameter file in Paccar Vehicle Pro and try the update again. I have never had a failed flash that wasnt recoverable. Good battery voltage to the truck and the laptop are critical. We know you had a good connection because the PCI updated fine.

Does Davie ask for a password to restore the software? This may take dealer level and a call to the engine support group to sort out.

No password except the initial login. Unfortunately doing a parameter refresh doesn't change the outcome either.

Dealer level? Guess that means as kenworth shop is the only option.
