Didn't realize you lived in the Big O.. neighbor .. Iam in your neighborhood 4 or 5 times a week...lolbzinger Thanks this.
-
That is cheap ...maybe there was some sort of typo error... thats Crapcago 1099 rates...kinda makes sense why they only have 13... O/O'sbzinger Thanks this.
-
Back at ya ! I dont want to down on the guy at McFarland but if you want more info about where I am pm me .
Last Call Thanks this. -
I told you it looks cheap at first glance.
We only have 13 O/O's because we're only really set up to have 10 of them. 4 company drivers decided to buy trucks last summer, thus instantly changing us from being in need of 1 O/O (lost one due to family medical issues) to having 3 surplus O/Os.
With that level of satisfaction from the O/Os, they have no need to raise the rates. -
In reality, this place is best for a company driver with 9 months to 2 years of experience, not seasoned O/Os. The company driver pay structure really favors them... especially drivers getting out of the military, as we will count their military driving experience. The company pay structure is as follows:
<1800 miles = 0.53 for all miles that week
1800-2399 = 0.55 for all miles
>2400 = 0.59 for all miles
In addition:
0.01/mile safety per qtr
$20/hr detention
Additional stops are $30
Cell Phone reimbursement of $25/mo
$1250 signing bonus
$2000 referral bonus
$200 per clean DOT inspection
Pet program
Rider program
6 paid holidays
4 days sick pay (can carry forward to next year)
3 days bereavement pay
1 week vacation 1st year, 2 weeks at third year, 3 weeks at 10 years
Life, AD&D insurance - company paid
Medical, Dental, Vision plans available
HSA
401(k) with 50% match on first 5%
The average company driver makes $75k/yr here... who else will pay that, plus all the listed benefits to a driver with only 9 months' experience? Or a driver coming fresh off active duty with a CDL and zero civilian experience? That is who I think would find this a great place to work, not someone who has been on the road for years and seen/done just about everything out there.bzinger Thanks this. -
Thanks for being honest but even if I was looking at making a change we would be miles apart on compensation, in 2017 I was at 1.47 on all miles and with freight rates since 2018 I'm in 2.50 range on all miles .
The only Benny McFarland offers that my company doesent is a paid base plate .
I dont mean belittle you but numbers are numbers .DRTDEVL Thanks this. -
