I’m wondering what you guys carry to break those thick stranded wire seals. I’ve always just used regular side cutters, snapping a few strands at a time. It works, though not very fast or efficient.

I have a couple bolt cutters at the house. I guess I could bring the smaller one out. Trying to stay light though. A guy once mentioned the name of a type of cutter that is small and works well. Can’t remember the name

Nothing, my drivers are not allowed to break seals, that is for the receiver to do and only the receiver. Too many cargo claims based on who broke the seal. The last claim was it for me, the dock manager claimed the driver never put the seal on and tampered with the load.

    i got mine at Lowes.

it might have been a Craftsman, or a Kobalt.

Husky at Home Depot is every bit as good. i tried not to over spend, due to the possibility of losing something.

Post #4 and Post #7 is what I did.
Those will cut through a cable seal as if it's a dry noodle.
