What is up with the recent trend of campers everywhere! Every time I goto a rest area, it's hard to find a spot because all the rvs! Also, the truckstops more resemble an rv park then a truck stop. I'm surrounded by rvs right now.....Gees. there isn't enough truck parking as is, now I have to compete with with RVing #######.

Keep my knives that kind of sharp. Work them on a 4 part stone when needed, otherwise just a hone to keep it clean. Very much understand the “ Human “ seasoning, done many times. I do have a wusthof brand “utility” knife. Good for trimming and a few other things. I tend to use a lot of asian style knives.
Santoku, scimitars and the like. Just what I learned with. Had a long time friend, a respected chef, french trained, fully understood the knives I use, how they work, but just not able to get the results I do. Then I could never use the knives he does and have the same outcome. Good high quality knives pay for themselves. Some of mine are 20 years old, the have been cared for and maintained, so they “cost” me about 3 or 4 dollars a year. Cheap, if you think about it. -
I worked the cell block today and more specifically suicide watch; they were messing with me passing around pieces of string and I laughed all day long at the joke that popped up in my head, “This mf is gonna have to pass a lot more string to hang himself”BigBob410, Flint1, jamespmack and 6 others Thank this.

'90 Plymouth Laser 2.0 turbo. Advertised HP was underrated IMO, and it was feather light compared to today's cars. I had to take a safety class to keep my license and I still had points falling off after I got my CDL. Insurance was a touchy thing for a while lol.BigBob410, Flint1, jamespmack and 8 others Thank this.

Oh yeah one more short story about the same day yesterday; when the guys on suicide ask for something I was told to call over the radio and get the Captain to help me watch them (only because It was my first time on watch), one of them asks for toilet paper and if I go to his cell I can’t see the other 2, so I call over the radio and at the end I said 10-19 which is the 10 code for “come to my location”, however what I failed to realize was it’s basically an emergency and means “come to my location now” and as I’m standing up with a roll of toilet paper in my hand 3 of the 4 guys on the block come running in and I’m like “Wtf I didn’t need all you guys!” I hope this one dude thought it was funny later because he could rip me in half, the guy I relieved in the morning (he’s called terminator for a reason), but the Captain thought it was funny and looked at me, smiled and laughed
