Big pair of wire snippets. With those type of seals and bolt seals i never break the seal unless they tell me to. They tend to get mad if you do
Breaking cable seals, what do you use?

Agree. I never touch a seal unless requested. If they say back into door whatever, I ask them will someone come out and break the seal? They say I can break it, and I’ll repeat just to be certain. Never had an issue being careful like that.Trucker61016 Thanks this.

Lazy here. Keep a 5/8x16"(?) chisel inside sleeper door. Stick end through cable, pull cable tight on on chisel to take slack out. Couple revolutions on seal with chisel stretches and snaps cable. A good, stout screw driver might do the job?

Greenlee ETS12LX11 Cable Tray / Bolt Cutter 12mm, Li-Ion, Standard, 120V
Ok, a bit pricey but I saw a dude use one on my seal one time. I had no IDEA it was that expensive but that thing was cool as hell. Effortlessly snapped that bolt seal and I'd guess it weighed less than 2lbs with the battery.
If you want to save money but not weight, this should do the deed. I have been diagnosed with a chest injury that makes squeezing bolt cutters extremely painful.

i do the same thing with a claw hammer....but i don't have to deal with bolt seals ...only cables.

Don't carry bolt cutters recently started carrying around air powered tools.
Already had the air line for inflating tires and die grinders are cheap and.
Before that I honestly just used my pry bar to twist till they break. Easier than fighting the bolt cutters, not as easy as the knipex those were not as easy as the die grinder. -
