Well @TripleSix I don't want to open a can of worms here in #5 so I'll keep it short: my gym days are over for now. I don't agree with having to divulge personal and private health information to a private business for access to said business. As much as I love the gym, I have chosen a stance and as a man, I need to uphold my beliefs and stick to my guns. I'll be hitting the iron at home for now until I find a new gym whose beliefs jive with mine. I've put too much time and effort into this to give up now.
Where is everyone #5

Longmire made me love Wyoming. Until I found out it was mostly shot in Santa Fe, NM lol. Land prices in Santa Fe are crazy, like just about everywhere else.Chieftains, jamespmack, cke and 7 others Thank this.

Lol same here.
On the topic of Longmire, the next book in the series comes out on Tuesday. I'll be getting that on order first thing in the morning.jamespmack, cke, DeereRunner97 and 2 others Thank this. -

If you are asking me what I would do, my answer would be it depends. The factors for me are pretty simple - how wide am I, how wide are the lanes/shoulders,how much merging traffic is there, are there likely to be abrupt lane shifts (and of course how long am I), how much traffic is there ….oh and of course how bad are the drivers around me - yes I am talking about truck traffic and the inability to maintain lane or lane position)
I will tell you that when I would run I-10 west from 1604 to west of Boerne - I would split lanes the entire way when they were doing construction. Every time. The lanes were narrowed and there were Jersey walls on both sides .
I mostly don’t care what anybody thinks - I am going to do what I feel is necessary to get the load moved safely. Knock on wood, so far so good. I don’t go out of my way to piss people off but I also won’t risk an incident.
At the weights I run a lot of times, making abrupt maneuvers isn’t really a great idea. So having some extra space around side to side as well as in front of me allows for me to minimize excitement.
also, as you know I am sure, people lose their minds when they get around OS/OW loads and can be very hard to predict their actions.
I just went through this in IA with some grain haulers not being excited at my speed on a 2 lane highway. My dimensions were 13’wide (12’ lanes gravel shoulder) 14’ 5” tall and 156’ long 190k lbs.
I was doing 45-50 mph as I knew there was an upcoming 40 mph corner and then I had turn coming in 4 miles that I would need all traffic shut down for.
got all the usual bs on the radio about owning the road - tough ####
I might have delayed those truck 5 minutes they will either get over it or they won’tSwine hauler, jamespmack, beastr123 and 13 others Thank this. -

@Lysdexis, you still looking for a 13 speed core? I have some phone calls to make in the morning, but I may end up buying a new one without a core...
jamespmack, cke, Tug Toy and 7 others Thank this. -
Ok, so I said next time I seen a freightliner with lights on and truck not running, I would post pics.
So here they are.

Just found out my younger brother got rear-ended on his scooter pulling into his driveway in NC. Two broke legs and and arm. Crawled out of traffic into ditch till squad showed up. Sister-in-law said not to show up. Driver fled the scene. He went thru the windshield and they ran.
Bags are in pickup already. Leave in am.Swine hauler, beastr123, cke and 15 others Thank this. -
