ill let you know how it goes.
$150-ish off amazon.Pamela1990, Old Man and MOBee Thank this. -
How’s that Garmin doing so far? My garmin has so much vibration, it’s almost impossible to see details. How is the night-time quality?Rocks Thanks this.

WOW... pretty cheap... found it now on Amazon for $259.99 plus tax.
I was going to buy Garmin 57 but after I saw the image quality of 4k cameras, I changed my mind....
Image quality is what I am looking for... in order to be able to see license plates and details.
Can you capture those with Garmin 67W?stacks Thanks this. -
After watching some YouTube videos, I liked the quality images of Thinkware U1000, Blackvue DR900X, Viofo A-129...
Seems that Thinkware has the best and most clear image but it seems that it would not work on truck vertical windshield though due to camera design and eye view angle...
Blackvue also has great clear image. But it doesn't have something I want, a LCD screen.
Viofo has a good image and it has the LCD screen... don't know if the park mode will work when ignition is off... -
I wouldn’t be too upset without an lcd screen ONLY if you are able to stream/view the images wirelessly on your phone.
as far as park mode capture: depends on how the unit gets its power. I’ve hard wired a cigarette lighter plug/adapter to a constant power near my fuse box, and plug what I need always on in there. Same with my cb. Easily done, and if you hardwire the dashcam, you can hide the wires, and make it harder for someone thinking of stealing itRocks Thanks this. -
It does work. You need to make sure you get the right hardwire kit that has a wire for constant hot, and one for accessory. I had the A119 v2 in my pickup, and liked it so much, I bought the A119 v3 for my semi. I only needed forward facing, so I didn't get the A129. You can read license plates clear as day. Also has GPS with speed and positioning, etc.
It's this hardwire kit:

Hey @God prefers Diesels, is it possible to turn G-sensor off on Viofo A119 ?
Pamela1990 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
The driving G-sensor, as well as the parked G-sensor can be turned off or sensitivity adjusted. When parked, it also has motion detection.Rocks and Pamela1990 Thank this.

I think having side (mirror) cameras is best. If there's an accident waiting to happen, then side recordings will show in advance of what's happening.
Rocks Thanks this.
