How much does everyone make hauling fuel and getting paid by the load? Theres a company down the street from me and apparently, their trucks sit alot. Drivers work about 3-4 days a week. Ive seen alot of other carriers in the area always running but this particular company usually not so much.
How much per load?

If they pay by the load, and their trucks sit, then that is not a company you want to work for.
The amount per load is going to vary depending on what market you're in. Back when I was hauling fuel about 10 years ago locals paid $35 and you got an extra $10 or $15 if you did a split.
I wouldn't go back to hauling fuel by the load, there's too much money lost sitting and waiting at the rack.Pamela1990 and Cat sdp Thank this. -

If I liked longer drives, I’d switch to being a DEF driver in a heartbeat. Same pay and no hazmat, FR, etc.
