Was wondering if I could get any input?
Looking into buying a used peterbilt 389 with a deleted isx15. Truck has 2.2 km (around 1.3mi) and engine is isx15 rebuilt with 500km (300mi) . Tranny and rear ends were done not too long ago. Alot of other stuff has been replace 5th wheel, steering box etc etc.
not my first time buying a truck but first time looking into a long nose and used. Any things too look for, will it be reliable?

No way to know without getting experienced eyes on it. Even then, it's still definitely a risk.

You better have plenty of extra cash on hand if you buy it cause your gonna be replacing more things if you buy it..
I would be willing to bet there is alot more things wore out needing replaced.. thats why it's for sale & some somebody doesn't owen it

Buying used is always a crap shoot. Just due your homework and check it out. Like anything mechanical, new or old, things wear out and have to be replaced.....no big deal. A truck is a tool, just make sure it is the right tool for the job. The only bad thing about deleted motors and I mean the only bad thing is a shop won't touch them. So you are doing the work yourself, which isn't a bad thing anyways. If it looks good mechanically and drives good, buy it. Don't be afraid of it. Some people in life never take risks and they will never know the satisfaction of success. Good luck.

If it has been deleted, you better know who wrote that tune. Plus, I'll assume you know a good wrench because no Cummins dealer will touch that engine.

Engine was done by a reputable local shop. Couple reputable local shops on my area so will get it checked by one of them. And can safely say everything truck has its share of electrical gremlins new or used
