We've got about an inch, good thing we didn't get any more, the wind was blowing pretty strong. Still a little flurrying. How much did you get out there?

Dairyman-Harvest decent at best. Early rice good but the bulk below average. We've still got 3-400 acres of beans to cut. We tried them a week ago and they were 19.1. Elevator said not to bring em above 16%. I've been hauling dry rice out for the last 2 weeks. The Riceland independents have been loading a barge or 2. They sit all day and get 1 load. I don't get it but maybe they've got an angle I don't know about. Riceland owns a few hoppers. I figure if there was much to be made hauling for them they'd increase their fleet.

Just a dusting of snow here. To the east and west of us they had some 3-5 inch snows. Like you said with the wind if we had any snow it would have been bad. 27 out now with 15-20 mph north winds. December has been a cold month around here. I think Oklahoma had more snow that we did...Big John might know how much they got.

thanks for the update, cowdoc. hope you get some decent jan.weather so ya'll can get your beans done. i don't know about the rest of you folks, but i beleive this has been the oddest harvest i can ever remember :biggrin_25513: i had 2 farmers call this morning wondering if i could haul corn to peavy grain in henderson,ky. for jan.delivery. both guys said they still have corn in the feild.i thought everyone was done around here. mom and dad went to columbus,in. to see some family on the 24th and dad said he didn't see any standing corn up that way.

I just hope most of it is gone by now.
The state web sites are not much help about road conditions on the back roads:biggrin_25513:
