Glad to hear it seems to be okay so far. Hopefully it will stay that way.
Yes, I have STD, plus when we renewed all our benefits last time around they had some other crap available that I took. Group Accident and Hospital Indemnity, which will pay out a few bucks on different things having to do with the hospital stay and tests, PT and the like, plus some other thing similar. Not on the level of Aflac but right now I'm glad I took it. Even with medical insurance and the add ons I still expect this is going to cost me a small fortune but what can ya do, #### happens.
Could have been way worse.
Bulkmatic, as it happens...

I don't know if you will mind answering this question. But I want to know how the paychecks look. I have a good paying job now , but it is 1099. No benefits. I want to know If its worth it to move. But need somebody on the inside to tell me what take home pay looks like. Thanks.

I will answer this better tomorrow when I have compter access but the short answer for today is that when I hired on the numbers the job postings claimed you were capable of making were fairly accurate, I would have to assume thay whatever is posted now would still be fairly accurate.
As far as if it's worth making a move I can't really say as everyone needs something different what I consider to be good money may be totally different than what you consider to be good money.Shock Therapy, Lonesome and Dale thompson Thank this. -
I can tell you my gross last year including vacation pay was in the low 80s. If my memory serves me correctly that was working pretty much 5 days a week the first few months of the year, then went to 6 days with a reset after the world fell apart (not like there was anything else we could do, so might as well work), then starting in early September I switched to 4on/4off. This year would have been lower since technically I only work half the time, but it would not have been half the pay, it would probably have been somewhere in the low/mid 70s.
I can't tell you what you want to know about the take home because I don't know your situation (taxes, 401K, benefits costs, bricks, or anything like that) but you can back out the approx. net from the ballpark gross number to find out.
I know this doesn't specifically answer your question about take home pay, but it just isn't possible for me to do that, numbers and peoples' situations are to subjective.Lonesome and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
Well, 4 months of healing and with physical therapy and was released on Dec 28th to return to work. The issue I have now is pain below the knee which the surgeon feels is bursitis, it isn't getting better or worse, just always there. Walking isn't bad, stairs are still a slow go, and I think may always be.
Between the DOT physical, drug test, and scheduling to get back in the truck (there is another 4 on/4 off driver now that I am sharing the truck with now) was suppose to go back out yesterday for my 4 days on, but still waiting for drug test results to come back. Pretty sure they have been lost since I took it a week ago. Sometimes you just can't win for losing. On the other hand, yesterday and today have been cold as hell and windy so I guess I'm not terribly put off by it, even though it means there is no money coming in this week.
Everyone at the company has been great to deal with thru this mess since day 1, no complaints on that front.Last edited: Jan 7, 2022
