I’ve seen several SEFL tractors pulling Dayton and A Duie Pyle wagons the last few weeks. All on I77 or I75 in GA, VA, and NC. Anybody know what’s up with that? I know smaller LTL’s will interline freight with other smaller LTL’s but Pyle and Dayton have a lot of overlap in their primary service regions. Just took me aback to see SEFL pulling both. They were not brand new trailers near as I could tell though the SEFL power looked pretty new.
SEFL pulling competitors trailers?

I know SEFL does interlines with Dayton, and I know Dayton interlines with Pyle. Evidently SEFL also interlines with Pyle, but you can check their website to see all their interlines partners nationwide.

Their own little super regional LTL network I guess. Back in the day CFCC has several interline carriers for remote locations but to my knowledge the interline carriers service areas never overlapped. Times change I guess

Nothing new, they have been interline partners for a while.

That might be because of appointments or guaranteed shipments.JolliRoger Thanks this.

interline agreements allow for nationwide coverage to include Canadian carriers

A dude Pyle went belly up I heard, SEFL bought their equipment. That's what I heard from some sefl drivers.
-
First I’ve heard of that, so I’ll need the sacrament of confirmation on that one.jmz Thanks this.

Sounds like a trucker story to me. I work for Dayton Freight and we interline with them as well as with SEFL. Another driver on here and I regularly move Pyle freight to our terminal in Cleveland, where it's loaded onto their trailers and Pyle drivers hook them and head east.Trucker61016 Thanks this.
