Someone else suggested Idaho. As a better option.

I love Idaho. However, depending on how deep your pockets are.....it prolly isn't an option. Your money doesn't go far here these days. Finding an affordable home here that doesn't need alot of work is not happening. If you are serious about moving here I can help you alot. Hell, you can stay at my place and I will let you use my pickup. Idaho is changing fast. I fear in 5 years it won't be anything like it is now. You can already see the changes. Alot of coasters moving in and changing everything.

Edit: the trend here is folks are buying homes and just tearing them down to build their "dream homes". So you have McMansions next to a single wide.

My desire is land more than a house. Off the grid is my planned end result. Hunting, livestock, greenhouse, solar panels and natural gas. With either building a small dwelling or dropping a mobile home on it.

Really want a few acres of private land that bumps public hunting land.

I've also heard that Idaho is getting a huge influx of Commifornia people. Property is going like mad and farms being subdivided. At least from what I've seen a FB friend up north post.

While looking and considering places, I've found my perfect place is tough to find. Country, yet close enough to a town for food and hardware. Also pretty much have to be closer to town to get dependable high speed internet, good cell signal, natural gas - private well preferred, but at least a service line. Good pasture, easy highway access, and flat to rolling terrain with good pastures. My head says $1500/acre, but it's closer to $10k these days, and if a house is already on it, forget about it. Top it all off, I want low property taxes and a NFA friendly state. I'm thinking I'm about 15 years too late.

Waiting on rain to move in so we got the ac charged up again. Looked over everything and found an upper radiator silicone joiner dripping. Tightened it up and we will go from there.

I'm not finding much on different radiators so I'm not sure if it's possible the p/o put a smaller radiator in or not.
