Most companies I’ve seen
Home 8 am Sunday
Back out 6pm Monday
That’s two days off
You were home Sunday and Monday
Is 2-3 days off for every 3-4 weeks out the standard for OTR Megas?

I've worked for co's that are calling me 7 am Monday asking if I'm ready "to go" ? Then I've also worked for co's where I've called in at 7 am being ready to go, and they don't have anything to dispatch. And I'm then baby sitting the q-comm for most all day, not a great way to spend a day off. Bottom line, supply and demand. Freight needs to go, drivers need to drive.

You OTR guys better be making some darn good money. God bless y’all.
Pamela1990 and BeHereNow97 Thank this. -
There was a post on another forum about a driver who worked 4 days a week and was getting paid $33 per hour, OT after 40. She said she worked about 48 hours per week and was grossing about 90k per year. That seems fair to me. Very good work life balance and getting paid good money to do it for al the risks that it entails.
Back to OTR work and OTR pay, the way to make that work in my opinion is to not have rent/mortgage and all the costs associated with that so you can just save a lot of money that way.Pamela1990 Thanks this. -
