Tipping at Subway ?

I dont think you should tip at subway

 

So are you saying that if you feel there was good servivice at a

restaurant you should pay 20% instead of 15%? Is it tipping or

paying an extra cost on top of the meal you already paid good money for?

 

Tipping is not figured into the cost they set for a meal. And if the waiter or waitress provides exemplary service why shouldn't that person be rewarded extra for it? Again federal law exempts these employers from having to pay the waitstaff minimum wage and these people have to report their tips on their taxes even when they don't get tipped. If you have an issue with what they are paid, then take it up with the federal government, they are the ones that made this law. Don't take it out on the person who is waiting on you.

The price of the meal should include the price of service.
Uncle sam made the waiter wage law only as a way to tax tips.
They know if a waiter is making 8 dollars an hour and reported
only 10k a year..well, they were making alot more then 10k a year
with tips included(which was because of good service).Now when they report 10k a year there is no unreported tip money. Which is a shame cuz some waiters deserve a tip(on top of what they normally make) nowadays to leave a tip,you gotta pay on top of the 15% extra you have already paid on top of the price of the meal. The gov saw
money that wasn't being taxed so they lowered the waiters wage and
basically it has eliminated any extra tips and has become only a compensation
of their lost wages. Who is really making out on this is the restaurants. Next time I go
into a restaurant im knockin 15% off the menu price and tellin the owner that is what im payin or im not coming back.
