Both hahaha i can close the spread and make it a tandem but it is fixed at that point. I need the spread because i can run 84k gross in montana and be legal as long as the axle groups are legal. With a spread i can run 40k on the trailer. Thankfully i have scales on board and have been able to play around with it. But my loads are so tight i just have to load it and go . Luckily my regular route there is never any open scales

Well with the rocks they vary. Some could be as light as 3k others can be close to 10k. With my flatbed i never had a problem eyeballing it. Very rarely am i ever overweight on my axles on my flat... this load im on now is 8 pallets of rocks and 50k

Also could be maybe the scale is not calibrated on trailer. I have not payed attention to it much. It is a new to me trailer so it could be not working right and reading higher than it actually is

Well with that much variation it will be pretty hard have a set loading pattern... Lol

With that 8 skids that net 50k... I would put about 30k centered over the spread and the rest against the step... Probably be wrong but thats where I would start.
