I cant beleive you haven't heard about arrow by now. Its been on the news in tulsa and OK, on for 2 days on xm/serius radio, on OOIDA and every trucking web site as well as the CB.

 

I drove for Marten Transport a few years ago. I was unceremoniously told to park and get out of the truck with just a few minutes notice. I won't go into the bogus details (I now drive for an upstanding and reliable company). I totally agree with this posting; you can be put out of the truck anytime, anywhere, for any reason, legitamate or often times not. Yes, always have over $500 with you that you keep seperate from your road money just in case your trucking company goes rogue on you. Marten is limiting many of their drivers in certain states to 50 gallons a day so that should be a warning sign to those still hanging on at that company.

 

Your talkin about bluebird ?

 

50 gallons a day? How are they even making money running that slow?

At 6 mpg 50gal is only 300 miles?

 

i too drove for the bluebird back in 08 fell broke my ankle in chicago i was going to be out of work up to 6 months but i was told to clean out my truck in chicago and they would put me on a bus home. ok great at least they were going to put me on a bus but i had to figure out how to get my stuff home. but the kicker was my ankle needed to have surgery and they wanted me on a bus. with just a air cast on. these trucking co dont give a rats a about the drivers.

 

well maybe it might be a good thing if some of these companies go away
