I didn't believe it but, PACCAR Chief Technology Officer John Rich says they are already hauling FedEx loads between Dallas and Houston.....driver-less.....and excitedly calling this "Transformational" ..by removing human drivers from the equation Screenshot_20210925-052920_Chrome.jpg

I wanna see it head up the Smasher on the Coquihalla in winter. I have doubts it'd make it much past the snowshed.

Yet another press release that's lying. They claim it's level 4, but it's simply yet more of level 2.5, which has been in testing for around 10 years now.
Wake me when they get to level 3, much less level 5 that's required for full self driving.

They probably don't even care once the drivers pay is removed from the equation. I'm sure the babysitter pay isn't equal to what a driver would make.

I have one of these Paccar driverless trucks and I’m not liking it much

It’s not designated as one but this truck will slam the breaks in construction zones when it thinks I’m leaving the road on a X over
Will get scared of it’s own shadow and do the same thing

    And mine is a 2021

I like a couple of the features but braking when I’m on the throttle is plain stupid

To let it drive with me watching over it would cost a lot more than the 65cpm I’m getting now.
