First , a little background. I've been out of the truck for about a year so as most of you know I'm starting from the beginning. For those brand new drivers or drivers like me - brand new again, heres what it takes to get into Roehl.
Must have graduated from a trucking school within the last 90 days. Three or more moving violations in the last three years disqualifies you. You need a Passport, Hazmat and TWIC if going flatbed. Other requirements listed on their website.
If you are interested in RDTI (Roehls Three Week School) You can pay cash $3360, or they will finance part of it for you with the following terms: $560 down(minus $85 if you have a CDL), $2800 financed IF you have a FICO score of 500 or more or a co-signer who can not be a spouse, a retired person or a person on disability. The loan is considered satisfied after you complete 120,000 solo miles (approx 14 months, per Roehl) You are responsible for your transportation to the School in Marshfield, WI. After you complete school you go out with a trainer. This is two phases (Evo I & Evo II) approximately 3 weeks each with home time in between, followed by Evo III which you run solo. Evo I is paid at $60 per day and Evo II is paid at $65 per day. At Evo III you will be on mileage pay as follows: Van 28.5 cpm, Reefer 30.5 cpm and Flatbed 31 cpm. Rohels "Goal" for drivers 11-17 days out with 3 days home and 2,300 miles per week.
This information was obtained directly from Rohel therefore I assume it is accurate as possible.
I hope this answers a question or two for anyone interested in Roehl.

WELL I WAS STUCK IN THE WEST COAST ON THE DEC.23RD NOT LOOKING LIKE I WAS GONNA MAKE IT HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. ROEHL PROMISED ME A WEEK PRIOR THAT I WOULD BE HOME WITH MY FAMILY. THEY KEPT THEIR WORD... THEY HAD ME DRIVE FROM OREGON TO UTAH AND FROM THERE PARKED MY TRUCK AT A CUSTOMER. THEY GOT ME A TAXI TO THE AIRPORT AND FLEW ME HOME. ITS WAS A ROUGH FLIGHT BUT I'M HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, LIKE THEY PROMISED I WOULD. THANKS KICIA AND JIM FOR EVERYTHING. BECAUSE OF YOU I WAS ABLE TO BE WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS. MERRY CHRISTMAS!AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I will hand it to Roehl, they did get me home on the 23rd. Granted it was late and the best thing to do was sleep in the truck. I understand how 7/4-3 works and Friday the 25th was the day I was supposed to get back. All I was looking for was to get home by the morning of the 25th. It was nice to get the extra day at home and I appreciated it. I realize much of this had to do with the planners, but still I appreciate getting home and two days early as well.
