Crap happens in this industry. My dispatcher is great, but nights and weekends leaves a LOT to be desired. I have been dispatched to places that are closed on weekends a few times. It is a PITA, but it will happen.
TheTrend and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
After you finally get it delivered and you’re close to home then put in a macro for say 3 to 4 days off. While at home keep the phones and computer off.

stick it out because that part of trucking won’t change much with one mega to anotherTheTrend Thanks this.

I'm a new trucker. Been at this less than 2 years. Put up with a Mega for 5 months after their school, researched companies and applied to a select few, chose 1 and immediately was making 20% more. Still had issues but ALL companies have issues. Stayed for a year and applied as a joke to a company that sounded too good to be true. Another 20% increase in pay and as many miles as I can handle, seemingly by accident. My one gripe so far? They won't get me a 13 speed manual. Stuck with a 10. Poor me.

So it so happens that's exactly how things went afterwards. It was so weird being gone from home for so long. It's been a rough start but, definitely been getting some experience. -
I am definitely finding this to be true about nights/weekends dispatch.
